The services provided by Indigo were exemplary, especially the services of the above two Indigo Officials who handled the said crisis with extraordinary care and patience.₹55,878 crore (US$7.0 billion) (2023) There were two official of Indigo Mr Rajan Chakraborty and Mr Rishang (from Indigo Security) who not only dropped us at the Railway Station but also ensured that all the travelers who had opted for going by train (about 36 pax) could safely board the train and got accommodated in the reservation quota. Indigo not only got rail tickets for us (in Second AC) but also organized to transport our luggage to their bus and subsequently drop us at the Railway Station. When we deboarded at Guwahati, we found that all the other airlines were only providing partial refund and the passengers were left to fetch their own arrangements. It was informed that since no flight was being permitted to land at Bagdogra the passengers from Mumbai were being given three options, viz they could take the partial refund of the ticket, they could stay at Guwahati as guests of Indigo and wait for the next available flight or the Airlines could arrange for rail ticket from Guwahati to New Jalpaiguri. After about one hour, the plane departed (as we know today that no plane could land Bagdogra on 9th January due to heavy fog), but we were again brought back to Guwahati at about 1630 hrs in the evening. The passengers were served complimentary tea and snacks during the wait period. Nevertheless, the pilots Ms Priyam Patel and Mr Humanshu Jain alleviated our concerns and informed us that due to bad visibility the landing at Bagdogra had been suspended and is likely to get resolved soon. Even after about 30 minutes of reaching when the passengers from Guwahati did not start boarding, we got concerned. The flight had a scheduled stop at Guwahati. I along with four of my friends booked ticket from Mumbai to Bagdogra on 9th January 2015.
